Here we go with the Speedmasters. UK Perfect replica Omega watches have dropped an entirely new Speedy today, introducing two new moonphases, with new handwound movements, a double moon display, and meteorite dials. These are not the first meteorite chronographs we’ve seen (e.g., Rolex and Bulova) nor are they the first meteorite moonphase watches we’ve seen (e.g., JLC, Rolex, Hermes). They aren’t even the first best copy Omega Speedmaster watches with meteorite on the dial, nor for which the entire dial is made of the celestial rock. Among those, there’s the Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon Meteorite and the more recent Speeedmaster Moonwatch 321 Platinum. But they do seem to offer something new, and that’s always worth a look.

Plenty will oooh and aah at the dail over all else, but I think the real story here is the new case. Current Speedy Moons are almost 17mm thick with their automatic movements and 44.25 wide, making them absolutely enormous on all but the largest of wrists. High quality fake Omega watches have put the model on a strict diet (i.e., a new handwound movement) and gotten it down to a 43mm diameter and a 13.6mm thickness, which is objectively reasonable and even approaching very good. Those dimensions and the 48.6 lug-to-lug will put the stainless steel case right in wearable territory. (There may be some remaining complaints about the diameter, but I think sacrifices can and should be made for the novelty of the dials.) The overall design remains the same, though, with the bombé lugs and asymmetrical case, pump style pushers, ceramic bezel insert, and sapphire crystal. However, it’s worth noting that that while the automatic Speedy moons get 100m WR, these only have 50m.

The dials on the watches are entirely meteorite, with the lighter having a galvanic gray coating and the darker receiving a black PVD coating. I’m partial to the contrast provided by the blue accents on the grey dial, whereas the black is tone-on-tone. UK Cheap super clone Omega watches have previously used pieces of the Muonionalusta meteorite for its dials, and there’s no reason to assume that’s not the case here; that particular meteorite is the common choice for brands seeking to use the material. The hands and markers on both are 18k white gold (with blue PVD coating on the gray dial) with Super-LumiNova fill.

Besides the meteorite, the dial layout remains the same as other two-counter moonphase Speedies. The left register shows the running seconds with a white hand and the date with a smartly bent red hand that extends up the date ring’s slope. The right register displays the 60-minute and 12-hour chronograph readout, and the moonphase is at 6 o’clock. However, online replica Omega watches have upped the ante a bit with this moonphase. Instead of the single crescent aperture, the display now shows the phase of the moon in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres — nothing fancy here, just more of the dial cut away. But I’ve already argued that meteorite isn’t that special as far as it being unobtainable in watches; you can a meteorite dial well below $1,000. These problem children of devious sellers are known as Frankenwatches, and that’s exactly what got Swiss fake Omega and Phillips into hot water. But if you can find an honest example, you’ll own a significant piece of horological history.

Jose Vega – UK Best Replica Omega Speedmaster Ref. 145.022

Jose Vega is a watchmaker and avid collector currently working at Shreve Crump & Low in Greenwich, Connecticut, and he thinks the sweet spot for vintage Speedmasters is with the Ref. 145.022 because they’re “easy to find and affordable,” he tells Robb Report. Vega also stresses that these online copy watches are “vintage but also modern enough to wear, if you want a Speedy you can beat to shit.” He adds that a “pre-moon [Speedmaster] could be a little scary to wear around.” Given their value, his point is well taken.
