Is perfect replica Omega trying to do some sort of 12 days of Christmas of watch releases? That’s what it feels like. Yesterday, the brand surprised us by revealing the new Speedmaster Pilot – a publically available version of the US military pilot exclusive “Flight Qualified” that had fans in a tizzy earlier this year – and now they’ve followed up only a few hours later by pulling the covers off a new Aqua Terra with an alluring and on-trend dial.
Available in both 38mm and 41mm sizes, it features a summer-ready fumé turquoise dial with hands, hour markers, UK cheap super clone Omega logo and date window in grey PVD and a minute track in light turquoise, all contrasted by stark white Super-LumiNova. Unlike the 75th anniversary ‘Summer Blue’ Aqua Terra models released last year, which all featured sunburst finishes and more azure tones, this variant’s dial has a matte finish, with the dark fumé evoking tropical rather than Mediterranean waters. It’s also much more overtly turquoise than the Aqua Terra Shades ‘Atlantic Blue’ from 2022.
Turquoise has been an on-trend colour for a few years now – a trend superheated by the Patek Philippe ‘Tiffany Nautilus’ ref. 5711/1A-018 – and its popularity doesn’t show any signs of waning any time soon. However, not all turquoise dials are made equal, and this Aqua Terra’s is particularly pleasant. The elegantly executed fumé gives it a real point of differentiation that other turquoise trend-chasers lack… It also helps that the top replica Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M watches are already one of the best ‘go anywhere, do anything’ watches on the market. The timing is interesting though: this sort of summery shade seems out of place for the Northern Hemisphere’s holiday season, but for us in Australia? I reckon it’s the perfect high quality copy Omega for a hot Aussie Christmas. One to add to the wishlist, then?
Otherwise, specs remain the same, with the watch mounted on best fake Omega watches’ new-design rolled link bracelet, which has a clever new easy-comfort system that allows you to change the size of the bracelet on each side of the butterfly clasp without disrupting the aesthetics or geometry of the bracelet. Visible through its exhibition caseback is either the calibre 8900 for the 41mm model or the calibre 8800 for the 38mm. Both are Co-Axial, Master Chronometer-certified movements, with the 8900 featuring a 60-hour power reserve and the 8800 a 55-hour power reserve. The larger model weighs 150 grams while the smaller one is 135 grams.
